Businesses applying for an award must be nominated in that area in order to qualify for that award. Nomination period is between January 1-31, 2025.
Please read through the award requirements before starting an application. Not all businesses nominated will fit the requirements for each category. Businesses nominated for more than one category, who fit all requirements, are encouraged to apply for more than one award!
Membership with the Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce is not a factor or requirement.
New Business Award
Description
The New Business Award recognizes businesses that have been operating for less than three years and are showing strong potential for growth. This award celebrates new businesses that have clear plans for the future and are already seeing progress, such as increasing sales, creating jobs, or reaching new customers or markets.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license in the city of which they operate in.
- Be in operation for less than 3 years as of December 31, 2025.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Small Business Award
Description
The Small Business Award recognizes businesses with one to five employees that provide retail, professional, or service-based offerings within Warman, Osler, Martensville, and the surrounding Prairie Sky Region. This award celebrates unique and innovative entrepreneurs who demonstrate creative thinking and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality products or services.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Must have between 1-5 employees maximum.
3. Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Community Involvement Award
Description
The Community Involvement Award recognizes businesses that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting and strengthening their community. This award celebrates organizations that actively give back through volunteering, partnerships, sponsorships, or initiatives that create a positive impact within the region.
Requirements
1. Be a for-profit business with operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville or surrounding Prairie Sky Region
2. Have a valid business license.
3. Be in operation for a minimum of 1 year as of December 31, 2025.
4. Not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Customer Service Award
Description
The Customer Service Award recognizes a business that consistently delivers outstanding service to its customers or clients. This award celebrates businesses that go above and beyond for their customers and can show the impact of their customer service efforts. Businesses of all sizes are eligible for this award.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Business Marketing Award
Description
The Business Marketing Award recognizes a business that demonstrates excellence in its marketing efforts. This award celebrates effective and creative strategies across areas such as advertising, promotions, product or service development, and how offerings are priced, delivered, or brought to market.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license in the city of which they operate in.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Employer of the Year
Description
The Employer of the Year Award recognizes businesses that demonstrate leadership in creating a positive and supportive workplace. This award celebrates organizations that prioritize employee well-being, clear communication, and opportunities for growth, while fostering a healthy work environment and a strong workplace culture.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license in the city of which they operate in.
- Be in operation for 3+ years as of December 31, 2025.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Business of the Year Award
Description
The Business of the Year Award recognizes a business that demonstrates overall excellence and leadership within the Prairie Sky Region. This award celebrates organizations that show strong performance, growth, and profitability, while serving as a positive role model through resilience, determination, and community-minded leadership.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license in the city of which they operate in.
- Be in operation for 5+ years as of December 31, 2025.
- Business must have five or more employees.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
