Membership with the Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce is not a factor or requirement.
New Business Award
Description
The New Business category recognizes businesses that have been in operation for less than 3 years and have strategies & plans to achieve business growth. The business must show positive performance in terms of current or expected profitability, job creation and/or entry into new markets.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license in the city of which they operate in.
- Be in operation for less than 3 years as of December 31, 2024.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Small Business Award
Description
The Small Business of the Year category celebrates unique businesses and innovative entrepreneurs that provide professional services to the Warman, Martensville, and surrounding Prairie Sky Region. This award will be given to the business whose example demonstrates out of the box thinking and dedication to providing quality services. Professionals such as artists, musicians, interior designers, food truck owners, dog walkers, freelance writers, and much more suit this award.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Must have between 1-5 employees maximum.
3. Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Community Involvement Award
Description
The Business Excellence Award for Community Involvement will be awarded to a business demonstrating exceptional performance in its support of the arts and culture, amateur sports, education, health care, voluntary groups, and/or overall community well-being. The winning business will have stated their critical success factors and clearly demonstrated how they have achieved meeting their goals in these factors. Size of the business is not a criterion.
Requirements
1. Be a for-profit business with operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville or surrounding Prairie Sky Region
2. Have a valid business license.
3. Be in operation for a minimum of 1 year as of December 31, 2024.
4. Not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Customer Service Award
Description
The Customer Service Award is presented to a business with a proven record of delivering outstanding service to its customers/clients. The winning business will have stated their critical success factors and clearly demonstrated how they have achieved meeting their goals in these factors. Size of the business is not a criterion.

- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Business Marketing Award
Description
The Business Marketing Award is presented to the business demonstrating excellence in the execution of marketing strategy, which may include advertising, promotions, products/service development, distribution/delivery and/or pricing strategies.

- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license in the city of which they operate in.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Employer of the Year
Description
Employer of the Year Award recognizes a business for their commitment to offering an exceptional workplace for their employees. A high level of importance is placed on cultivating a happy healthy work environment for their staff. The business exemplifies excellence in its employee focus, including job creation, diversity of hiring, training & support programs, morale initiatives, recognition & rewards programs, workplace wellness and a commitment to professional and personal development.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license in the city of which they operate in.
- Be in operation for 3+ years as of December 31, 2024.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
Business of the Year Award
Description
The Business of the Year Award is presented to a business that demonstrates all-around excellence, shows growth and profitability, and acts as a role model for other businesses. The winning business will have stated their critical success factors and clearly demonstrated how they have achieved meeting their goals in these factors.
Requirements
- Be a for-profit business with a substantial base of operations in the communities of Warman, Osler, Martensville, or within the surrounding Prairie Sky Region.
- Have a valid business license in the city of which they operate in.
- Be in operation for 5+ years as of December 31, 2024.
- Business must have five or more employees.
- Must not have been the recipient of this award in the previous two years.
